Description
This distinctive ring has been crafted from a silver coffee spoon originally made by Mappin & Webb between 1926 and 1927. The spoon once featured a melamine coffee bean at the top of its handle, a detail which has since been removed. The bowl of the ring displays a unique texture, adding depth and visual interest to the piece. Notably, the end of the handle curls elegantly around the front of the ring, where the screw threads left from the removal of the coffee bean remain visible, serving as a subtle reminder of the spoon’s original design and purpose.

Ring Size and Adjustability
The ring is available in size M. Most of our rings can be adjusted to either increase or decrease the size slightly, ensuring a comfortable fit for each individual wearer.
Mappin & Webb: Manufacturing and Dating Marks
Mappin & Webb, while recognised as a leading manufacturer of fine silverware, often sourced significant quantities of work from other firms. As a result, pieces bearing the Mappin & Webb hallmark may not have been produced entirely in-house, reflecting a collaborative approach to manufacturing within the industry.
The company is known for its enduring commitment to quality and craftsmanship. This reputation has been formally acknowledged through the granting of Royal Warrants by British monarchs, a tradition that began in 1897 and continues to this day.
