On the inner section of the handle, the ring is inscribed with the marking “RB No406864”, authenticating its origin and adding to its uniqueness as a piece of repurposed antique silverware jewellery.

The original teaspoon was manufactured by Reed & Barton, a distinguished American silversmith company based in Taunton, Massachusetts.
